My 14yr old son has ADHD and was struggling in the classroom. He has been a D student his whole school life. He hated school and started to act out in class due to the frustration of not knowing what was going on. We finally convinced Ty to get a tutor. My friend recommended Kye from Shield Tuition, so we booked him for 1 session a week for maths. We had an immediate improvement, so we added English and again had vast improvements. The university sessions for my exam in medical school were great - I had a nice layout of the preparation up to the exam that helped me synthesise my semester lectures and content, and the level of tutoring given to the content I asked for was excellent. I was able to understand what I was learning about and felt comfortable asking questions. With the level of understanding needed for topics covered in first year medicine, I was able to finally get a grasp on concepts I struggled to understand earlier.

Will the tutor come to our house?
Yes! Our tutors will come to you and tutor inside the comfort of your own home. For in-house tutoring, we currently service the Gold Coast region and parts of Brisbane and Far Northern New South Wales.
What should I expect to pay for tutoring?
Everyone’s situation is different. We recommend getting in contact with us so we can provide you with a copy of our pricing guide and discuss a quote for you.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes! We have online options available. We find our older students prefer the flexibility and timetabling of online tutoring, while our younger students tend to benefit more from in-person tutoring.
How do I know the tutor is safe to work around children?
Our tutors must hold the appropriate working with children's cards (e.g. Blue Card). We are more than happy to provide you with information concerning your tutor’s working with children qualifications upon your request.
What if my child has a learning difficulty?
We are well-suited to help your child with learning difficulties.

My personal journey of tutoring showed me that tuition is more than teaching; it is more like mentorship.
