New research released this week by the Veteran and Families Guild describes the elephant in the room. Kids from defence families are struggling with their education. We acknowledge the work done by the Veterans and Families Guild to release the 2025 Veteran Families Survey. The data derived from this survey is essential to address the academic challenges faced by kids from veteran families.

Kids from Veteran Families Need Academic Support
This table shows that of the respondents, 19% reported difficulty keeping up with school work or learning. Furthermore, 17% reported poor academic performance.
These statistics highlight what we have always known at Shield Tuition. Kids from Defence Families require additional academic support.
The good news is that with understanding and the right support, defence kids can overcome challenges and thrive.
